Windows 7 Shutdown Button Missing.

Not For Home Basic Edition.

Click Start, Run.

Type gpedit.msc and click OK.
Navigate to the following path:

User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Start Menu and Taskbar

Double-click “Remove and Prevent Access to the Shut Down command”

Select “Disabled”

Double-click “Change Start Menu power button”

Select “Enabled”

Choose “Shutdown”

If you don’t want to go through these steps, creating a new user account will work as well. Of

course, then you need to transfer all of your settings from the old user account.
