Windows 7 Shutdown Button Missing.
Not For Home Basic Edition.
Click Start, Run.
Type gpedit.msc and click OK.
Navigate to the following path:
User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Start Menu and Taskbar
Double-click “Remove and Prevent Access to the Shut Down command”
Select “Disabled”
Double-click “Change Start Menu power button”
Select “Enabled”
Choose “Shutdown”
If you don’t want to go through these steps, creating a new user account will work as well. Of
course, then you need to transfer all of your settings from the old user account.
